Just ordered a kit from protouring F body to replace tie rod ends, centerlink, and idler arm. The kit is listed for 70-81 year models. I know the early birds like mine are different up to 1974. Will I have to replace the pitman arm since this kit is actually the newer style for 75-81?

The idler an pitman don't change our kit uses the 75 1/2 -81 tie rods and center link (DS 883) the early 70-75 used the DS828 center link and is no longer made, and you can't use the later tie rods because the inner tie rods have bigger tapered pins so you have to use matching center link and tie rod assemblies.

I know for a fact some TA years are different, because it used a different pitman arm. I swapped all my stuff out for the LS engine swap. I bought Pro-Forged parts, they are good parts and they have kits specifically segregated by years of F-bodies.
