I wanted to do it badly when I built my 72 Camaro, but could not find a good t roof. had one on my 81 t/a and loved it but would expect cracks and twisting if you do not have a cage and frame connectors .
I would go with the early hurst style t -roof so it looks correct.

I would go with the early hurst style t -roof so it looks correct. I'm gonna put in frame connectors do they leak and do they lock down well? Also how bad is the body twist

Mine that had them never leaked if the gaskets are good and latches are tight.
Mine had locks.
with connectors and mild small block 350 hp I never had a stress crack but a small wave in the t center.
With over 400 hp I would go with a small cage to brace the body.

So a motor with 450 plus pound feet of torque will bend the frame? I would go with a harness bar in the back but doubt that would provide enough reinforcement

When the roof is removed the floorpan/rockers are the only support. So when you triangulate it with tubing your tieing in the front frame to the rear replacing the roof support.
But subframe connectors are better than they use to be so it may hold more strength.
I would look at some late 70s f body cars and 80s monte carlos to see what they are using.
