I am currently looking at updating my fuel system in a 1968 Pontiac Firebird. It currently has a Pontiac 400 with Edelbrock heads, ported and built by Jim Butler in TN, with an RPM intake. It has a hydraulic roller cam with 230 I - 236 E duration at .50 lift, and .510 Intake lift and .521 Exhaust lift. I currently have a HEI distributer, but will be upgrading to an MSD set-up soon. I have Hooker Competition headers with a 2 1/2 in exhaust. This is backed up by a Muncie M-20 wide ratio trans and currently 3.73 gear. I may be going to a 3.08 in the future. I am also planning on running a 1/2 in line with an electric pump and regulator with a return line. I am looking for everyday drive-ability plus throttle response. Not really loyal to any brand.

I have not. I work out of town and cannot remember if my intake can have a spreadbore. I am maxed on hood clearance, so I cannot use an adapter.
Edit: Just looked at his website. If I have to wait 12 months I will probably bite the bullet and go EFI. Thank you for replying though. I was beginning to think no one used carbs anymore.

No adapter needed for Quadrajet on an Edelbrock RPM manifold. I like my Quadrajet. Cliff's book helped me build a nice one. His quality parts and phone advice too. Sure, it didn't come out perfect the first try but now I know how to build and tune a carburetor. I get why one would go EFI, but I also like that I know how to work on a carburetor. It's Car Guy 101. Response and economy are excellent on a 455 with KRE's. Even got the choke dialed so it starts up first try cold. Sorry if this sounds a little braggy. Call me a Quadrajet convert.
