Hi! i bought the camaro just about two months ago and want to upgrade it a little in the next winter. I want to but a injection system in it and its propably best to chance the whole engine and trans?? i´m also considering the ez efi or something like that but the lt1 offers better injection than the ez does. LT1 has multiport injection and ez has carburator body right? So what do you think? I´m in a really thight budjet so LS1 swap is not an option to me, i can get LT1 and 5-6speed trans for the same price as LS1 engine alone. Which one should i go for? LT1 or the ez efi conversion?? I now have standard 350 from 1973.

I have the EZ on my LS3 in a 72 Camaro, and like it a lot. I chose the EZ over the factory LS system because it lets me make changes and self tunes to my changes. If I want ,say a 12.4 AFR, the Fast will try its best to get my engine to 12.4. Paying someone to tune every time I want to make some change can get expensive really quickly, and im no where near good enough with a computer to navigate EFI Live to make my own changes. I like the idea of the throttle body setup vrs multi port because you get one of the big advantages of carburation , intake cooling, with a throttle body that drops fuel from above. Another point for me to use the EZ vrs the factory LS injection was, Im not a fan of the plastic intake on the LS. It is a compromise for fitment under modern aero designed hoods and I believe a carb style intake is a better design for power production, although that point has nothing to do with the choice you are trying to make.

thank you really much for the reply, thats the reason i posted here to disguss what to do about the whole idea :D Do you have return line in your system or is it with out? Also do you have intank pump or outside? Is there much more modification needed beside the tank, fuel lines, fuel line regulator and of course the electrics but they are quite easy to put on?

Depends on what your budget/goals are for the car. I had an LT1 in my car for about 9 years and it was a great dependable 300ish rwhp engine. I loved the engine but the aftermarket is really limited on them. I wanted more power and went LS3. if you have bigger goals then I would suggest either going aftermarket EFI on your SBC or just make the plunge to LS. The aftermarket for both of those platforms are great!

I am running a return line, and an in-tank setup on my fuel pump. My in-tank was a home project that took assembly and disassembly , test, test, test. If I had it to do all over again on the fuel system, Id go straight to the aeromotive stealth system and be done with it. As far as getting it going and mods, there is nothing to it and its very user friendly to install and setup. Just take extra time to make all the connections as solid as possible.

thank you very much! whats your gas mileage with the ez setup? Is your ez the first one or the 2.0 version which is more costly then the first one?

Im running the first one, but if the 2.0 had been out there 2 yrs ago, Id have gone that route. I haven't done a mileage test yet, because ive been working on getting my base timing down on my LS3. The MSD6012 box that controls the coil on plug setup has a MAP timing as well as base timing and I wanted to get the base exactly like I wanted before I did the MAP. I just finished dialing the base in at the drag strip this weekend, so next up is to set a MAP timing for part throttle and then I will do a few mileage loops to see what I get. I can tell you that this past weekend, I drove 85 miles round trip and made 2 mid 11 second 1/4 mile passes on less than 5 gallons of 93 pump gas, so for an 11 second car , the mileage is pretty good before I dial in the MAP timing. Im very happy with my whole setup.
