Mast pan is more likely to work in my opinion. It is more shallow up front by a considerable amount. Definitely worth taking a look at.

The new Holley pan coming out is just as short up front as the Mast pan and both will install with the new Hooker 1st-gen F- body swap engine mounts, transmission cross members, headers and exhaust systems coming out. As a note, the new Holley pan was designed specifically for this application and to improve the clearances on A-body swaps.

I have the holley pan already. its the older style one I guess part number 302-1.. I would love the whole hooker setup but I cant wait till end of dec.. do the new hooker mounts bring the engine back to stock location or forward alittle from the old mounts? I have heard a lot of complaints that the old mounts put the engine to close to the firewall and the heater box...

Havent used the hooker headers but have used the DD dingo mounts with holley pan. If you're using the short/wide stands & motor mounts you'll likely have to put shims between the stands & subframe. I use thick grade 8 washers, and only in 1 swap did I have to use more than 1. The pan will likely touch the crossmember in 1 or 2 spots without the shims. Which position you use on the double D mounts will determined by header fitment. I'm about to try some hooker headers on my current project but it will be a bit before I have the subframe installed in the car. I'll be putting the subframe together this weekend & installing the engine trans next weekend. Car is in paint & will be there a bit longer.

When is the new Holley pan coming out? These things seem to take a long time between product announcement and product availability. That is why I suggested the Mast pan.

I think they're looking at late December now.

Yes, late December was issued at SEMA as the release of the new Holley pan. The new Hooker components will start being released next week beginning with the engine mounts and transmission crossmembers. The headers will begin coming out shortly thereafter. It's common to start previewing new products a few months before their release to give a heads-up to those in the planning stages of their swap. We realize the information won't be particularly useful to those currently involved in the physical aspects of a swap. As a note, you can install the new Hooker components will other pans than just the new Holley pan.

What other pans will work with the new pieces?

You can use a notched 4th-gen oil pan, one of the available fabricated steel oil pans that work where a notched 4th-gen pan works and I suspect you should be able to use the Mast pan as well.

Got it. Thank you.
