Hi everyone!
Thought I could take a look here and see what you photochoppers could do with a 2nd gen Camaro and some NASCAR wheels and stuff.
For my car I personally would like to se 15" Cragar 5 spoke "Pro Star" wheels. or maybe even a pair of black steel rims, but in 16" size. and for tires, how about some Goodyear Eagle Sports Car Special G19 Sports GT tires? in sizes 25.0x11.0-15 or 23.5x10.5-16 especially for the rear, for the front I just don't know what will fit. I honestly don't know what will fit in the back either.
Here are the pictures of my car, feel free to modify and good pictures of 2nd gen camaros you can find :D if you like them better then my camaro.

I'm not sure if it is the wheels or getting rid of Shamu, but it sure looks better.

That looks perfect. At first I thought the hood wasn't to bad but after seeing that pic a stock hood is a must.

well I do want a original hood on there, the problem is that I probably need another intake. I now sport a edelbrock performer rpm AIRgap. and the carburator is so close to the hood that I can't even fit a ultra low profile aircleaner on it.
I guess I will have to change intake but not right now, sacrificing horsepower is NOT a priority. :D

what motor are you running? i have a small block chevy and a performer rpm with a one inch spacer and a low profile air cleaner and it fits fine under my formula hood...
perhaps just a one inch cowl?

Are you putting a chassis in the Mini in the background? Lets see some photochops of that!! :pics2:

I have a 350 SBC wich is stroked and bored to 363cui bore is 0.030. I have a Performer RPM Airgap with no spacer and a semi low profile aircleaner it still sticks through the hood but I guess I MAYBE could run a "kidney" style aircleaner and get a original hood.
The Mini in the background belongs to another guy in the garage that builds racecars out of minis for vintage racing and the mini cooper cup or whatever it's called. he's one of if not the best at building these minis here in Sweden. I builds them for other people not him self, he hasn't got the time. he did one for him self with a turbo in it. 170hp in 1200-1400lbs car. rebuilds the gearbox after at most 6000miles :D It's AWESOME
just get a stock cowl hood, that will fix everything

i'm not doubting you, that's just really surprising to me...according to some calculations i ran a while back the airgap would increase my hood clearance by a decent amount. sucks.

then what airfilter are you using?

Early 2nd gens never had a cowl hood, the Z28's ran a high intake and an open element air cleaner.Fitment was not an issue.
A special frame mount that lowered the engine in the bay was the only difference. Some say that it was the same as the big block mount but im not sure of that. Perhaps you can find these mounts.
2nd gens do look good with a cowl hood. Or maybe a throw back to the 80's with an L-88 hood and its functional bird bath .

I had a few L-88 hoods back in the 80's, the normal size looked okay but the tall one looked amazing, especially with Z-28 stripes that make the contours of the L-88 stand out to the maximum. I am considering having 2 hoods for my car, a 3" cowl and a tall L-88 so that I can switch them if I want. Of course it would be good just to get the eternal project running again...

I have an L-88 hood: running a zz4 intake, demon carb, 1 1/4 inch riser and a 4" air cleaner. Had to grind down the wing nut, but it all fits.

formula> well it looks like you have an even taller setup than I do. If I buy a edelbrock filter, that triangular shaped one, I might get it to work. Also like the idea of dropping the engine a bit. I bought moroso solid motor mounts but I have the soft frame mounts and I don't know what frame mounts to use. anyone knows where I can find solid frame mounts?
Thanks
