I'm Richard, friends call me Richie.I am building a 1966 Buick Skylark,GS400 clone. So far I have been just collecting parts. Been lurking for a while here getting ideas and learning ALOT about fabrication.I have Pro Touring taste and poor touring budget but we will see where this takes me.Thanks in advance for letting me be a part of this website, any help, advice, tips or tricks in moving along with my project,"Dead Bird".:twothumbs

Well this might be the shortest lived project that never got off the ground.Started stripping my quarters and found more than I wanted too.must have been tagged hard in the rear at one point as both quarters were 1/4 to 1/2" thick in mud.No aftermarket parts for bodys so I guess it gets sold for parts. Thanks for the one welcome anyways.Later,Richie

Hey Richie, welcome. before you go abandoning your Skylark you could check for parts on the Buick forums. I have a 67 Cutlass i'm working on and the olds people have a ton of parts and cars for sale. Seems that a few of them just buy these old cars to part out knowing me and every other old oldsmobile owner needs something. just a thought, good luck.

I have been on v8 buick since I got it.I have been collecting parts because I wanted to get what I could while I could. After what I found on the tail end of this,I just dont have the funds or means to replace it all,not to mention you cant find quarters.if you do,they want a fortune for them.I havent seen this much bondo before.Honestly it didnt look bad till I started grinding it out.So far I have found it almost 1/2 inch in some areas.I guess I will be one of the Buick guys parting mine out so others can keep thiers going.I have plans though for my motor and tranny though.
