I picked up a 74 Mgb Gt for my next project .. Plans are to fit the boby with the Sebring flared fenders , 10 inch wide wheels..modified suspension setup.. take out the 4 banger and install my ford 347 aluminium headded stroker motor, backed by a TKO 600 RR tranny with a shortened 8.8 ford disc brake rear.. Full roll cage installed as well ..... should be a fun little car...Below is a couple of pics of the look im going for..

The John Wilson Racing BGT? Purported by some to be the fastest MGB GTV8- still runs a Rover, so a Ford 347 should smoke it...
Always liked the MGC GTS Replica look. Have an MGC GT. For those not in the know-

a picture of 'Romeo 699', along with 'Mabel 546' (MBL 564E) were two of a total of six (or possibly 7) MGC GTS shells made. Using the factory steel floorpans, the major body panels (except the roof) were stamped in aluminum. Although wildly popular in the MG community today, the GTS's (Sebrings) werenot particularly successful in period.
I'm Greg Fast,and I approve of this project :)

Awesome looking car!! Those cars look like they could have been racing in the Trans-Am series with the Porsches and Alfas back in the day, U2 class. And you can't go wrong with Mini-Lites. Those and Torque Thrusts look great on any car of any year. Gonna be a fun car!!

I say sebring flares, as odd as it sounds they look like they flow with the car better than all the rest. I may be biased though, a sebring flared GT is next on my list.

Nice car. That wheel/tire combo is awesome. Big fat meats in a compact car with a stout sbf and Tremec, hell yeah.
As for flares, I like the simplicity of the 240 flares but, I would think custom flares would definitely set it off.
Make some cardboard templates and work off of them.
It looks great, tear seems to be coming along nicely.
Looking forward to your updates.
