I was reading through the cookie cutter car thread and was wondering; what have you done that is unique to your car build? anything from a 'simple' custom bracket to a whole new redesign. if it's custom post it up on here.
be sure to include pics!

I made an "RS" 72 Chevelle. Hide-away headlights, driving lights in the bumper, reverse lamps in the rear pan, quad stop lights, unique stripes, window trim delete, hand built aluminum gauge panel, and much much more. I just opened a shop www.streetmetalconcepts.com some pics on there and many more on the facebook link.

Trying to build a 68 chevelle in the spirit of a trans-am based street car. 15" wheels/tires, big sway bars, mostly stock looking.

I have my mainstream cars. Currently working on a Shelby inspired 66 Mustang Coupe. Also have a 67 Camaro with boltons and getting an LT1/T-56, as well as a 71 Camaro I'm going a little deeper into as far as body modifications and appearance.
Then I have my "other" projects. My latest is a 60's Volvo PV544 I just picked up. I want to get all the books I can on suspensions, pick as many brains as I can, and use my resources and skills as an R&D Engineer to design and build my first full suspension setup, and maybe tube chassis depending on how deep I want to go. Thinking of a turbo Ecotec, or someone planted the idea of a Hayabusa engine, though that's looking costly. I also have a 58 Edsel I'm going to make into a roadster, and graft Crown Vic suspension, and build a 4 link, with maybe a mod motor.

I talked to Schwartz Performance about a chassis for a G-body to put under my 84 Monte Carlo SS. 7 months later I had said chassis and so can you. They also now have a chassis for 78-87 El Camino's since I needed one for my current build

Will also have the stock 4 speed console with T56 Magnum and what, for the most part, will appear to be the stock interior. May even put a blank shifter ball on the shifter to make it look like a 4 speed. I am thinking 18x9.5 w/ 275/35-18 Front and 19x10.5 w/ 295/35-19 rear. Any opinions...

Schwartz's uses this setup to eliminate the chance of the pads being pushed off the rotors. Security for when it's on the track.

I love that IMSA spoiler- there was an ad that seemed to run on the inside cover of every car mag in the 80's with a red Z28 with a similar spoiler and a blower sticking through the hood. That ad made quite an impression on me as a kid.

I have always just glazed over at most car shows after a while, bow ties get boring real quick despite what may set them apart from the car sitting next to it. I have always been a Mopar guy so that alone sets me apart. When I got the car I had always wanted ('68 Charger) the wheels started turning. What I ended up wanting was an all wheel drive muscle car, that sets it in a class of it's own already. Every other special thing that i did to the car was a result of that first idea. I had to do push rod suspension on the front, so I figured I may as well do it on the rear too. The engine got pushed back 16 inches to clear the front drive, put massive tires (315's) on all 4 corners and am using 14 inch brakes. O, and if that is not enough, it should come out with a dry weight of around 2500#

A floating hub rear end is 100% streetable. I have over 6000 street miles on my Moser 9" floater with not even a hint of a problem. That said, I would not recommend this setup if you will be drag racing but for autox or HPDE it is the best.

There's also some electric power steering (it's funny how many people still have no idea that this exists):

Great idea for a thread! Lol.
Here's some from my car.
Lesser known wheel brand (VWW) and rarely seen wheel (V48)
Turbocharger on a pro-touring car. Makes 950whp and drivability like a stock 5.3 pickup
Custom brackets for 12" Fbody discs and 11" s-10 discs
GPS for nav and speedo
Oil cooler where the front license plate used to be.
Black pleather bucket seats for $285 shipped for the pair
SPC upper control arms and tall ball joints instead of (insert major susp player here) kit
2" dropped spindles (The cheapy Ebay ones that everyone is scared of now but they CAN work)
Rewelded steering center link and reversed Chevelle steering arms (homemade Tru-turn)
E85 fuel
Dark Green paint
Throw drag wheels on and run 9.50's at 150
Super smooth firewall
Rollcage and two car seats safely

The whole car really. A 69 chevelle body on a Nascar Sprint Cup chassis. This has been done before but mine is the only one that I know of that the doors open and the windows roll up and down as stock. Theres a Camaro on this site as such but the person who built it worked at a Nascar chassis shop and built the chassis to suit so that doesnt count sorta...lol. Plus the car was not built at a professional shop like many I see on this site with access to cnc machinery, water jet cutting and every other tool under the sun it has been built by a guy in his garage.
