Can anyone give me the measurements needed to make sure the radiator support is squared up in a 2nd gen F-body? I installed a full new floor in the 2nd gen, along with donor toe kicks and a passenger side frame to body mount bracket.
I very carefully measure the frame installation, since I was installing DSE sub frame connectors and it is square to within 1/16. I measured it a number of times before welding in the sub frame connectors and the body shop confirms it still comes out square. However the radiator support is definitely 1/2 inch out of square when measuring from the cowl, top fender bolts to the opposite corresponding bumper holes in the top of the radiator support. I get 67.75" from pass side bolt to drivers side support bumper hole and 67.25" going the other way.
The body shop can't get the passenger side fender over and down quite enough so the hood doesn't fit the opening properly. There is also a big gap at the bottom of the passenger side door and the front fender.
I think the issue may be the passenger side body mount plate since it was replaced. I guess it is possible that it is a bit high or low, even though the mount was drilled out at the spot welds and put back as close as we could determine to be the right position. Just taking a bit of a wild guess since all the other measurements were precise.
I just checked my SE TA and those bolt holes are also 1/2 inch off so now I am confused as to what the numbers should be. That front end fits on perfectly.
Any ideas?
