Who can do the mod to the spindles for me? I want to get the KORE3 kit, but I don't trust myself to cut and tap the spindle. Who can I have this done by in the local So Cal area?

Thanks,

I know a guy in northern CA that can do it. I could even do it for you, but my shop is near san francisco. Are you willing to ship or just prefer a local source?

I'm willing to ship. A few extra bucks out of my pocket is well worth it being done correctly.

Just call Kieth at Custom Works then, he had a few of the brackets last time my cohort talked to him, and maybe even a few spindles modified already. http://www.customworksproducts.com/ (530) 864-5846

You could go with the CPP C5/C6 steering knuckles (spindles.) Then you could run C5 brakes without any extra bracketry or need to drill or modify.

I would recommend that you cut them yourself if you want to save some cost, then have a local machine shop tap the holes if you're not comfortable drilling and tapping the two existing dust shield holes.

I know it might be scary to cut and tap something like this but I felt the same way and I must say that it is not hard to do at all. Just take you time and trim a little off at a time once you get the big stock ears cut off.

The tools look to cost me more than having the job done....I got a hold of Keith and I'm looking to have him do it.

The plus on getting the tool even if they are more money is you get to keep them for another project. either way Im looking forward to pics of the upgrade
