Hi I have a 1972 cutlass and I'm having a issue with my brakes I had my 350 olds motor rebuilt and now my brakes are hard my cam spec Camshaft, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 274/286, Lift .520/.523 I have disc brakes front and rear SSBC do u think this cam is to big and I need a electric vacuum pump are is there a way around a vacuum pump.

you'll at least need a vac. canister, i have a canister on my 455 with a 238/246 dur @ .050 and the vac canister helps alot.

The best way for you to get around a vacuum pump might be a hydroboost assuming you want to maintain power brakes...that's a pretty serious cam and I'd be shocked if it was recommended by the cam manufacturer for vacuum accessories.
