So new guy here I have a 1974 Camaro 83797 work in progress obviously. I was thinking about doing a single large turbo dragster build big tires straight line only type of deal, but ive started to look more on the multi use side of life so building my diesel truck this car and my other project.

Right now it has a 454 with a TH350 but wanting to change to either a 6 speed or just upgrade to a TH400. Mileage is unknown previous owner said it stopped at 126XXX but that was 7 years before he stopped driving it and swapped the 454 in there from the 350 two years ago...so yea its definitely uneasy, and on top of that the engine was pulled from a 73 C/10 work truck unknown mileage. So i have a lot of work ahead of me on the engine build itself.

About myself is im a former active duty marine, went to school at wyotech and hot rod institute. Now im working at the local plant driving a forklift. hopefully i can learn get the car done and show her off here soon.

What are you doing at a plant after Wyotech and Hot Rod? There's a decent amount of shops out west river, I'm from east river but I find myself up there often for National Guard related things.

As far as Engine/drivetrain Im going to stick with my big block definitely give it more life Dart top end keep it a 454 up the compression to around 12:1 or a little lower. When i get the chance swap to EFI. I would love to do a matte red paint with a glossed pewter offset stripe on the driver side, and keep it as original as can be no fancy fender flares or stingray hood. Re-do the whole suspension up front drop it 2" in the front 1" in the rear with either IRS or just a solid axle 9" For interior im doing a 6 point cage with a two seater setup. As far as electronics just gonna use a KISS method and as far as the wheels im stumped on what i want. I would love to keep this car subtle but to the point she sticks out.

Thanks Toadman i just need to buy myself the front end it doesnt have one obviously this car has a long road ahead of it...and by the way supercharger is gone didnt want it.

Here are some more photo's of the vehicle she's not in the greatest of shape as far as what is there but the interior is in storage somewhere waiting on the owner to get that (pretty much never gonna happen) But also this is a photo i came across which is where id like to go minus the hood and where the stripe placement is. http://cdn.speednik.com/files/2011/09/pro_touring_75_camaro_rendering.jpg
