Compression or coupler ???

What's the best way to join two pieces of brake line for a long run ??? Compression union or a coupler ??

Another thing. I'm making a few braided lines for custom areas. I know how to put them together. but, what's the best way to test to make sure they have a nice tight fit ???

That is something I won't do.....assemble a braided brakeline. There are plenty of crimped lines available off the shelf and other places that can build whatever you need to your specs. We have a place across the street that is setup with Brakequip and they build whatever we need......even 2 90s back to back if need be.
