I may have jumped the gun a little on a set of 19s for my car. But THEY WERE SUCH A GOOD DEAL?!?! (I sound like my wife). Anyways, they are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. I was thinking about the following -
245/35 on the front and 275/30 on the rear?
As far as tires are concerned Im open to all ideas. I currently have Yokohama Sport AVS on the car. And TBH, theyre pretty good in wet weather. However, I think theyre discontinued. I may be able to get a deal on Continental ExtremeContacts if those are any good. The car is a cruiser/road car but I dont want to sacrifice tire performance for something silly like, ride quality (lol?). Im really looking for a good comprimise between grip and some longevity (which is reality is shortened by the occasional drift and burnout). Really want my cake and eat it too.
Thanks guys.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports would be my recommendation.

I was going to sat michelin too. They seem to have a pretty nice variety of sizes for 19's.

It looks like your front tires are going to be slightly larger diameter than your rears by about 1/4".

Ok I went through and did all the calculations.
A 275/35 would be .8" larger in diameter than the front.
A 285/30 would be about .1" smaller than the front.
What would be better for that 9.5" rim?

If I were buying an Autocross/ street tire in those sizes today, id buy the Dunlop Direzza Z2...

I'm not sure which calculator you're using, however the 1010tires.com calculator shows the following diameters for the given tire sizes:
245/35R19 = 25.75"
275/30R19 = 25.50"
285/30R19 = 25.73"
295/30R19 = 25.97"
Now if you're going to consider higher profile rear tires, like a 275/35R19, then yes, that will be larger than the fronts, but your original post called out a 275/30R19. That said, a 285/30R19 has a virtually vertical sidewall on a 19x10 wheel (stock C6 Corvette size), although not all tires are sized exactly the same. I think any 275, 285 or 295 is going to be right at home on a 9.5" wide wheel with hardly any noticeably difference between the three.

Thanks Tobin. Im ok with some bulge. I mean - it is a muscle car. That being said I would want to stuff as much tire on the rim width wise as I can. But I want it be safe and make sense as well. I think I'll roll with 245/35 and 285/30.

I sold off the 19s. And got some better 18s instead. Now Im thinking about tire size again. Width is x8 and x9.5
245/40 Front?
285/35 Rear?
