I'm also interested, as my G-body is due for a shock replacement... are these shocks essentially the same as the single adjustable coil over shocks without the threaded body? Can they be rebuilt and tuned?

We have installed them several times on customer cars and they raved about the ride quality. Well worth the money to have an adjustable shock to tune to your liking...

I personally run the RideTech single adjustable coil overs on our Test Car and really like them...

I'd say one of the reasons you've not seen any feedback yet is because the harsh weather all over the country has kept everyone's cars inside. The HQ smoothbody was not released until later last year...sale took off during this winter, but many of these cars possibly have not hit the road yet this spring.

Wow! That just made it a no brainer for you OP.
Already with a million +1 mile warranty they have for all intents and purposes a life time warranty. And this is just me thinking, but its my hunch that if you are the one to get a 1,000,001+ miles of service from your shocks there would still be some sort of support.
Now with a ZERO RISK offer from the man that they will satisfy your needs, or money back. That is putting money where mouth is.
If I was much more than barely half way thru what has become a 5 year build plan (fingers crossed) I would be trying to nudge myself into the the same offer.
While I'll continue to subscribe to this thread ready to read some reports Ridetech continues to impress with its customer support and remains at the top of my shocks wish list.
Now hurry up Spring!

I have bought a set. For a Nova, though.
I ordered them from Summit to get the free shipping.

Mine was missing the adapter shaft on the bottom eye to bolt to my existing spring plate.
Called Ridetech, and told them the issue.
I gave them the Summit order number and Chase from their customer service had the new parts coming the same day.

They look excellent. Knobs are easy to adjust.
The adjustments seem very good. Wide swing from full soft to full stiff.

I bought these just to be able to adjust on the fly. So far I am impressed.

The autocross season is just around the corner, they will definitely be tested out.....LOL.

I hope to be using a set of HQ smooth body soon in my 2013 GMC fullsize but i need to find the funds to get them. Im trying out Vinking then i will jump up to the Ridetechs. Looks like a very well built shock but then again we are talking about ridetech.

Nick, I'm sure you'll be happy. Our association with RideTech goes back to the early days of A.R.T. In fact, I used the very first set of Shockwaves on a truck that won TOTY in '04. The new program with Fox is first rate. I have used them on the Silver Bullit F-100, the HellBoy C-10, and on Tina's SC-4 Mustang. We were also involved in some factory (Fox/Ridetech) tuning at Willow springs, and the updates and tuning progress was amazing. All of the new valving codes from those test sessions are used in the production of the new shocks. You will feel the difference when you pull out of the garage. - start with 10 to 12 clicks in front, and 6 to 8 in the rear. Tune the rear first, adding rebound until it starts to feel tight, then back off a click. Then add to the front until the car feels balanced.

I have the single adjustables on the falcon rear and love them. Triples will be an upgrade next year. Im running full stiff right now for autocross and its great. Mid way on the adjustment for driving to the track.

I just received my lower strong arms and hq coil overs and the hq shocks for the rear for my 81 firebird, still a project but will be on the road soon.

This past weekend I competed in the autocross event at the Street Machine Nationals in Pomona. The track surface was slick and the course was very tight. The Ride Tech HQ shocks allowed me the ability to adjust the shocks as the track tightened up throughout the day. As a result, I was able to win my class against other 3rd, 4th and 5th gen Camaros. If you want an adjustable shock, with excellent value, the HQ deserves a second look.
