Hello all. I have a 68 Chevelle that I built when I was 16. Its a beautiful car that I was not affraid to drive all through high school and college, but when I got married 3 years ago I put the car away. I plan on pulling it out of storage within the next couple of weeks and getting back to work on it. It currently has a 560hp 396, a M22, front disk brakes and boxed read control arms. The car was fun when I was a kid and only cared about burnouts and et's, but I plan on turning it into a pro-touring car starting this fall. I bought a ZF 6 speed last week, and I pulled my spare 12 bolt out from under my workbench to start building disk brakes for it. I think I have most of the engine parts to detune it back to a nice street thumper instead of the high-strung miserable bitch that it is now.

Plans include A/C, quiet- well sealed interior, nice stereo, fatman droped spindles with dirrerent upper ca's, coilovers, larger front brakes, updated interior, and some larger wheels and tires. Nice site you guys have here, glad to be a part of it. Wish me luck......

Welcome to the forum. This place rocks. If you need any kind of technical help someone here has the answers. The 68 Chevelle sounds like a nice ride, good luck with your project......

Welcome to the site. What part of Michigan are you from? I live in Muskegon and there are several other members popping up more and more in our area.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I live in Livonia- 5 miles out of Detroit. The car asent been run through the city though, as I havent even driven it since getting married and moving here from Fenton in '02. All that will change come spring.... hopefully.

Luckily the wife likes and misses the Chevelle too!!!!

Welcome aboard from a fellow Michgander. :secret: I live in Byron which is not to far from Fenton... I drive to Troy to work everyday though. :seizure:
Get to work on that Chevelle and keep the wife happy. An understanding partner is hard to come by...
