Well, after finally deciding the best route (I hope) for my car and keeping my wife happy, I have decided on which components and wanted your guys suggestions and/or recommendations.

I have a daily driver 68 Camaro with a mild 4-bolt/ARP-studded 355 with hypereutechtic pistons, Edelbrock 650 Vac. secondary, Edelbrock EPS intake, bowl-ported 1.94 heads, 268HE cam, MSD Pro-Billet Dist., MSD 6+ Digital ignition, MAD New System, and headers. TH350 with B&M Torkmaster 2000. Baer Serious Street are on thier way. As evidence as a member here, I love the corners and intend to enjoy driving as much as possible. Maybe some racing one day, but mostly hard driving, legally.

Here is what I have planned:

QA1 coilovers

from DSE: Upper control arms, LCA bushings, body mounts and SS hardware, tie rod adjusters, PS pump, hose, cooler, and bracket; Rear leaf kit with 2" drop

3rd Gen IROC Box, Competition Engineering SF Connectors (Bolt-On), and all new Moog misc steering/suspension pieces.

Rear brakes from Praise Dyno? Other options?(besides discs)

What do you guys think? Feasible? I would have done the DSE Speed kit 3, but budget would not allow with everything else going on. And I was thinking the Hotchkis hollow front sway bar, but very open to any recommendations. I searched previous posts and just wanted your guys seal of approval, and to point out any discrepancies.
Thanks for your time,
Brad

Before everyone starts yelling that you need rear discs, I just want to point out that Porterfield (http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/porterfieldckshoes.html) sells high performance shoes. Their reputation is nearly unmatched for pads, so I think I will give the shoes a try. Sorry, no real world feedback, but if you can wait 6 months...... :hand:

Heh, I pass by Porterfield on my way into work everyday. If you think you've smelled brakes before, wait till you drive by a brake pad manufacturing warehouse.

Is this thing on? Hope you guys can point out something I missed or what your opinions are before I lay down the cash? Thanks.

Hi Brad,
Im sure someone will give you an indepth answer after I post but i'll give it a shot.

It looks like you have some heavy duty hardware for a hard driven street car. You can skip alot of the stuff but I hate to undercut the dealers here so I'll hold my tongue.
1st suggestion is to run a quick ratio 2nd gen box over the 3rd gen unit. It a much easier swap although both can be found at the wreckers for real cheap.
2nd suggestion, drop the bolt in subframe connector and go with the DSE unit, it works so much better and your drive way and speed bumps will thank you.
3rd suggestion is to go with the 3" drop spring, from my experience a 2" doesn't lower the car as much as you would like it to.

I have no experience with praise dyno, I would just do a 93-97 rear disc set up. Its cheap and availible at most wreckers. You will need to do some work to hook up the park brake and shock clearence.
The hollow bar ok...a standard 1" should do fine. No rear bar.

Brad, I have a '68 Camaro as well and would follow Vince's advice on the leaf springs. I installed the DSE 3" drop springs and I still thinks it sits a little too high in the rear.

Another option you may want to consider on the subframe connectors is Global West's weld in connectors.

If your are interested in upgrading your braking you may also want to consider a Hydroboost unit. I just finished installing a Hydroboost after upgrading to discs and am totally amazed at how much difference it makes.

Thanks for the responses, I went with the bolt-on because I don't want to cut the floorpans. And thanks Zack, but the SF Connectors are on the way from Summit. I would love the Hydro-boost, but budget does not allow for it, yet. I have been sold on the 3" drop leafs.

Thanks, I really appeciate it.
