Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy sway bars for my 67 Camaro. I'm doing a pro touring build and was wondering if I should go with a hollow or solid bar? I'm looking at Hellwig bars. What are the advantages/disadvantages of Hollow vs. solid besides weight?

The main advantage is weight, yes. A hollow bar isn't as stiff as a solid, given they're the same dimensions. However- they aren't drastically different either.

Here is a good read by Hotchkis:

tony - The parts you have selected will work well on your vehicle. The tubular front bar works really well with performance spring rates and improved suspension geometry as is seen on a pro-touring build. If you raise the spring rate and correct the geometry, you won't need the stiffest bar out there so the hollow bar would work well for you with the added advantage of cutting weight. THe adjustable rear bar is not freindly with monoleaf springs and factory traction bars. If your 67 is equipped you will need to remove the factory traction bar to make the adjustable rear bar work.
