All,

I purchased the car shown in the following thread from Gui (Geberhard):

https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/98681-Feeler-post-possible-sale-67-Camaro-LS1-new-paint-runs-drives-etc

The car is clearly advertised as rust free and the reason I paid his full asking price.

This is what I recieved:

Trunk gutter...interesting how the only new piece of rubber trim was installed here:

One of many texts:

I repeatedly asked him in telephone conversations if the car had rust and his answer was "no" every single time. The only time rust was mentioned was in his words "light surface rust on interior panels".

He is a liar and should not be trusted.

On a different forum he made a statement that a friend of mine checked out the car for a "few hours". Mike is not my friend but a friend of a friend, who lives in San Francisco, that I had asked to meet briefly with Gui and lay eyes on the car. He was not there to check for rust because Gui assured me there wasn't any. Mike spent 20 minutes looking at the car. Gui made it clear he was pressed for time since it was his lunch break.

He tries his best to cover his mistake, but luckily for me there is a paper trail on everything.

Also, please let this be a warning to anyone selling a car that "As is, Where is" does not apply when the seller knowingly misleads the buyer. Its best to be truthful upfront and make no guarantees.
