I just purchased a 63 nova ss and am currently trying to plan the project. has anyone installed a t56 into one of these or know someone who has? is the shifter going to end up in the right place? I am looking to get a lt1 combo with the tranny off ebay or the local yard (yeah right). any info is appreciated, thanks!!

Yup been there, done that.

You are going to have to modify the tunnel ALOT to fit a t56. Well, maybe not ALOT, but alot.

chicane67,

We have a customer who wants a T56 or Richmond in a '67 Nova. Do you have a '67 with a T56 in her already?

Thanks, Jody
