Hey guys! I just sold my 1971 Buick Skylark for 7500, I bought it for 3800 and even though I did some things to it, its in no way perfect. Had 4 drums. It still leaks oil, coolant, trans fluid and gas. Yeah it never wanted to hold fluids haha. But bottom line, I have 7500 dollars now and want a new classic to buy. I want something from 60-72 with something bigger than a 350ci. But not so massive it wouldn't be daily drive-able. I do live in the Chicago land area, it could be a easy project or just decent car. But I want something I can have fun in. If you guys have any suggestions of cars or you guys know of cars around the area it would be helpful, i'm having trouble finding something I like on the usual craigslist or ebay.
Thanks, Erik

IMO the A-body GMs are the perfect size, style, and performance packed vehicles. Other similar cars are fairlanes, coronet, fury, torinos, impala, and novas to name a few. Maybe an older A-body?

Okay, I'll give the unpopular suggestion:
69 Toyota Corona Hard Top. No, its not big muscle but it's classic, sporty and starting to gain a lot of value in the past few years. You're most likely laughing in your hear (or scratching your chin in intrigue) but them and the Dautsun 1600s are mean little track cars with some go-fast parts readily available on the market.
In the hands of the Pro-Touring community, it could be a very, VERY mean little car.
