Working on my 62 falcon. Wheels are 17x7 with 4" backspace on a R&C cross member, tubular A-Arms and drop spindles. What i am trying to accomplish is finding tires that may work for my application. I am concerned about hitting the fender upon turning, so need a tire that i could place under the car that would work on this wheel. I attached a couple photos with the A-Arms even. simulating ride height. Any help would be appreciative. I was thinking maybe 205/40/17 but not sure.
Thank you

It's going to look good! I can give you a reference idea a difference being my 63 Sprint was on stock suspension control arms but lowered on AirRide Shockwaves. The wheels were 17x7 and 4.75" b/s. The tires were Bfg 215/45-17 KDW2's.

I spec'd the deep backspacing to get the wheel as far inboard as could be. The upper ball joint just cleared the wheel flange. As you can see the tire tucks nicely inside the fender aired out.
Does your suspension set up alter the front track, that is wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface?
