Looking at changing my rear suspension over on my 62 falcon to something more high tech compared to my Leaf springs. What would you recommend? I was looking into a 4 link, but not sure if that is a right way to go. I would like the car to be able to handle around turns plus give me the ability to accelerate with out wheel hop. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a tci 4 link in my 65 falcon and it works great. It handles really well and no wheel hop. I have been 11.1 at 124mph

One place you can find out about good stuff on Falcons, TFFF.net, The Ford Falcon News. I'm subscribed to this particular thread, it has a lot about the rear suspension. You may want to check it out, and there is a lot more on Falcons there as well.

Can't read TFFN unless a member. Because I have a couple leaf spring cars, I was interested, but can't see how to become a member

Well just go to www.tffn.net, Forums, then "Register". But there is plenty of great info here too.

When it comes to this car ('63.5 Falcon), I am somewhat of a butcher, but whatever. I need it to do what I want it to do, which is get through turns quickly, and not spin the wheels all day. Here are some of my solutions:
Wheel hop:
83145
83148
It's a biscuit bar, and it kills lots of axle twist in braking and acceleration, even on a gravel road. I copied the basic design from road race stuff, with a bit of circle track in the mix. The biscuit meters out the grip a bit differently than a straight bar (like in a regular three-link).
Corners:
8314683147
So far, the rear is a Maier Panhard, five-leaf springs (kind of soft), Konis (one turn/semi-hard), sturdy shackles (cut down for 2-inch springs), and 225-50-15s on 15X8 rims (minimal sidewall deflection). I've also got lots of extra steel in the frame, so as to avoid throwing too much chassis torsion into the windows and floor...
Much luck!
