Hello all! Does anyone know why these tires are on backorder and when is the earliest they will be available?I've tried discount tire,tire rack everywhere,I'm going nuts.

It could be that they are making Rivals instead right now. If they have a rival in your size you will be happier. I think you stand a good chance they have them.

Yes I thought that I had heard they won't ramp KDW production back up until this fall... maybe someone else here can confirm this?

The word I got from Tire Rack was not good, the 275/35-18's are just not available and no date in sight. My favorite tire!

I thought that the rival will take the place of the kdw and the comp-2 is the next in line.

They will let you keep them when you buy your new Rival's and you can still have your favorite tire but it won't be long before your realize the new ones are your favorite tires.

I Talked to BFG yesterday, and they plan to run a batch of KDW's somewhere between the 3rd week of Sept. and 2nd. week of Oct. They do have Rivals, but they do not live long on the streets. Everyone, take a minute to call bfg and voice your concern. 1-877-788-8899

P.S. They claim the first two venders to have any in stock will be Tire Rack and Discount Tire

Rivals? I dunno, at $280 each, only 7/32 tread depth, 200 treadwear, pretty limited sizes, not ideal for cars that see the road a lot.

I have 225/40-18's, 265/35-18's on the Mustang
205/50-17, 235/40-17's on the Econoline
and 225/50-17, 245/45-17's on the Thunderbird..

All KDW2's, lol.

Everyone should keep running the KDWs, especially if your fast. Its like taking a cone penalty for free.
