I think 20's look too big on a first gen. If you are going to get away with it, it would be on a '69 since part of the wheel will be hidden in the well, but still a little too big for my liking.

why not 19's? I have 18's on my '68. I think there's a good amount of meat on my tires as well, however I didn't mini tub

18/18 or 18/19. 2" of stagger is too much difference, and 20" is simply too big for that small of a car. All just my opinion.

Agree ^^^^
I'm also almost at the wheel purchase stage and am going 18x10 front and 18 or 19 X 12 rear. My wallet is just crying at the prices though.

The wheels are going on a 69 camaro I know the 20in are big for car,but the red 69 on speed tech web site has a killer stance,so I'm considering the 20x12 for the rear and the 19x9 for the front. Also the car will be mini tubed

They just did a really cool black '69 too with 19x9 and 20x12 RB3C wheels. I'll start a real thread on this next week. In the meantime, here is a shot. You can see more at: http://www.forgeline.com/customer_gallery_view.php?cvk=915
I see a lot of people in the forum express their opinion that anything bigger than 18 is too big. But this looks pretty great to me.

I think 20s are too big on a 1st gen. The thing that sucks about 18s is tire selection. There don't seem to be enough 315-335 18" tires out there, but maybe I'm just not finding them. There seem to be more 19s that wide, probably mostly because Vettes run 19s in the rear. So you might want to look at tire selection before you make up your mind, but I think 19s in the rear are a good compromise size wise.

Love the wheels, just not the size.
