I'm looking at buying scales, I'm considering the Intercomp SW650RFX, anybody have any feedback on these scales or suggest different ones. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/icp-170126-w/overview/

They are fantastic. I have owned and used a lot of scale sets ... and prefer the Intercomp.

To some people, the wireless feature may seem like a luxury, but they are very practical & cost effective in the long haul. You're not running the jack over the cables or constantly lifting the jack over the cables. No body trips over them, etc. Replacement cables cost $275 & I've bought a few sets.

For my last purchase of wireless intercomp scales ... we went with the version without the head unit (click here (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/icp-170154-pc))... because we always use a laptop with it. So it saved a few bucks. The version you are getting allows the use of the laptop too. You're just paying $190 for the head unit.

If you have a laptop, you'll be able to save scale settings and refer back to them in the future. You can also put the read out up on a big screen monitor, read it from an iPhone or iPad. Again, that may seem like a luxury, but if you're working by yourself, you can adjust on a corner and see the result on your iPhone or iPad without walking back & forth to the laptop or head unit.

It is a very versatile, accurate setup.

We own two sets which we use to scale cars at Good Guy events and love them! We also did not get the read out as we always use a laptop so we can get a printout.
We also own an older wired set, but as Ron stated, the wires suck. We use the wireless all the time.

If you want to check them out before you buy them stop by and see us and we'll "give you a tour" at the next show.
