Hi. I'm just starting my g-machine build, so I've been to the track to find out what's need fixin' first on my '69 Mustang (Brakes, R&P, and Coilovers)

Had a little mishap, but not too big. Just need a new quarterpanle extension. Turns out it have been fixed one time earlier too. It was wet, and I was overtaking a lot of newer cars, thanks to the Michelin Pilot Sports. In a turn where people like to drift, I suddenly spun and bumped into the railing. Didn't see it comming, due to the superb grip on the rest of the track. Didn't have any throttle trough that corner either. Anyways, those are the hazzards of track days. :drive2:

Oops! Well it looks like the damage could have been far worse. I checked out your website. Looks like a great car.

You want to make an omelete, you got to break a few eggs.(?)

Sounds like you had fun.

Sounds like a damn good time to me! And at least you kept the shiny
side up. I say keep the busted endcap and wear it as a badge of
honor. Too cool!

I do totally empathize with your sudden spin though... my '70 Mach had
a nasty habbit of doing that far too often in the rain, even on Michelin
MVXs. I think it's an inherent problem with the stock suspensions on
these cars in general; they love to oversteer for darn near any reason

I'll be watching for your further exploits... keep us posted.

Great looking car! The 69s are my favorite mustang. That duster in the picture looks pretty nice too. Isn't that the "340 hood"?

Thanks! But the Duster is actually a Barracuda. But your right on the engine. It's an 340.

Very cool car and great pic above. At least it is only minor damage and it sounds like you had fun so thats all that counts. Its just a car. Easy to repair. :) Just noticed your from Norway! That makes it even more cool. :)

Thanks! I did have a lot of fun, and I got to know the car better. The '60s suspension is going out. Probably going for Global West.
The racetrack, Artic Circle Raceway, is very fun to drive, even dough it was raining. I've come to the conclusion that I spun out because I went out of the "dry" track to get to the pits that starts at the exit of that corner (Corner 12). That is also the corner on the track with the most rubber in it.

Cool pics! Looks like a fun track. The elevation changes remind me of Road Atlanta.

Looks like a very nice track. I love the picture with the XR4Ti with the Datson 510 drifting behind it. You just don't see that here where I'm located.

Infact all our tracks out this way are umm...completely flat :(

My '69 Cougar (miss that car) which is nearly identical to your Mach-1 under the sheet metal had a nasty habit of doing that as well. The back end got pretty light over 140 as well...........or so I've been told (wink).
