Hi Gents
Hello from South Africa just thought I would share the new build that is about to Start
Please Help me name my new project car
Here is a brief summary of what is about to happen

I have a 1968 Chev Camaro RS and with this have decided to do a little different build due to a few challenges this side

I have now purchased a complete Drivetrain from a Audi S6 5.2 liter V10 Tiptronic also same motor as Lambo Gallardo
This includes the full front and rear suspension management system etc

Now comes the fun of merging the 2 together to become a true Camaro Quattro, with launch control, electronic adjustable suspension, ABS etc

Pictures to follow real soon

Any thoughts or opinions will be greatly Appreciatted

Least the wheelbase and track width is the same

I am using a T-56 transmission that I have adapted to be able to hold a transfer case on the back end. I have a front differential mounted in front of the engine, the front driveshaft is quite complex. I also am building a dry sump oil system and just finished 180 degree headers. The v8 engine is pushed way back thru the firewall, about 16 inches of set back and only the front 2 cylinders are actually in the engine bay. I also have pushrod suspension front and rear. I have a build thread on this site, just search for silver fox

Cool will to that
Sounds like some insane modifications

I know the V10 has a dry sump and idea is to keep all the technology
Also should I run into trouble I can take it to any Audi dealership to run diagnostics

Well in South Africa we don't really get snow, but have really cool winding roads, and guess other reason is cause I can :)
And the biggest point is the cost of importing parts from USA

Man I'm digging this! We have gotten so used to seeing these LS and Mod engine swaps here in the states that we forget about European/Asian options. I love seeing wrong year and oddball cars because at the end of the day you want to be asked about the project and then watch their reactions.

I know it may be too much to ask but is there a way you can tell us in US Dollars what the components are? Just curious on how much you saved going this route. Will also give me a little culture lesson. :)

Hey No worries
I originally was gonna go the LS route with Quadralink and C4 Front
Till this opportunity raised its head
I was very lucky to get the complete drivetrain this was front suspension, rear suspension, engine, tiptronic box, management system and exhaust

This set me back $10 000 the Camaro cost me $ 3500
As project grows I will list the cost this is a guideline so far

Subscribed. But if you happen to locate a newer 4.0 get that. the V10 was kind of a letdown. Love the idea, I just sold a bunch of 6spd stuff form another audi, thought about trying to do an AWD system in the chevelle, but I just don't have the skills to do it, so will live through you for a bit instead!

Hi Tory
I managed to in the deal get hold of 2 GT35 Turbos so I think the grunt and power will be there
