Hello all,

I am looking for a 1969 Camaro. Although I don't have the car just yet, I am going to assume that it will need the steering upgraded to feel like a modern car.

Assuming the car will have factory power steering when I get it, what are the advantages/disadvantages of upgrading the stock steering box as compared to installing a power rack and pinion setup?

I am not too concerned about the cost, but I am concerned as to any bumpsteer issues.

Thanks for your help.

I have one and I'm taking care of the steering soon..was gunna go rack and pinion but it just wouldn't look right in the car with how it's done..I hear ridetech tru turn is good but it's kinda pricey so it might be best to just replace it all and get a new box

If cost is no issue get a full DSE subframe setup and all your problems will be solved.
