Looking for someone with experience the CAD programs to contract some work

I need someone that is familiar with using the CAD programs to draw up a gauge panel for me. I also need it to be able to be used as a template to transfer to what I'm working on.

I think it would be fairly simple to draw up. If there is anyone out there willing to lend a hand and make a few bucks, then please contact ASAP!

I could do a 2d one in autocad if that would work. It would be just a flat panel

So you are just after a 1:1 scale drawing? Or are you looking for dxf/STEP-files?

I can probably help you draw it in Solid Works.

This is what I'm looking for. However, I need it to house 3 gauges in the rear row and just 2 in the front. I only need a 2D 1:1 drawing that I can use as a template.

If you are planning to do it two dimensional (from a piece of sheet metal), that should be quite easy to make in Solid Works (or another CAD program...)

I don't have any experience at all in CAD, so I don't know the level of difficulty this would be. However, I would imagine for someone that is experienced, then it would be a simple task. I'm sending you an email right now Ripper

Do you have your gauges? Would probably be easier to mock something up with foamcore or heavy cardboard. How are you planning to make the panel? Modeling it in 3D is easy BUT, getting it to fit your fabrication intent, application and mounting surface is the tricky part...
I would simply make a flat plate out of foamcore and build the gauge pods off that... Use PVC pipe that fits the OD of your gauges.

I plan to build it out of steel. If I knew how to work with fiberglass, then I'd probably do it out of that. However, I prefer to work with steel. Seems so much more forgiving. If you make a mistake, then just weld it back up and start over:)

Mako, before you cut any steel please verify, with your actual gauges, that the spacing will work. I built this panel for the van out of aluminum using 2 5/8 gauges. You can see the spacing is pretty wide to accomodate the gauge bezel which is a lot bigger then the gauge body.

Thanks Astro for pointing that out. I did allow for that though. The panel was drawn with 2.5" tubing to be used and the overall width of the gauges to be used is 2.270”. I already have some pieces cut to be welded to the face of the tubing that shrinks the diameter for the gauge to slide into. The gauges to be used are 2 1/16". It will all be a tight fit, but everything should fit fine.
