Has anyone done this? I really only ever see X8's.

I found a rediculously cheap set of 19x9.5s - forged. I would have to run a spacer (DNW opinions on spacers please) but not sure if I ran maybe a 275/30 or something if it would fit.

I would appreciate any experiences anyone might have.

Thanks.

It will I can't recall what spacing but I did a search on the googles...lol and found you should be able to run 275 in the front and 335 in the rear...now if you lower the rear that changes to somewhere around a 295 do to the shape of the wheelwell making the tire rub.
Best of luck Ryan

I think it can and has been done. You will need 5.5" of backspacing to run a 275/35-18 tire.

I am running 275's on the front of a 66 chevelle if that helps, 18x9.5 Everything clears except for the huge turbo hanging into the fender well.

Ditto what Andrew said! I have a 18x9.5, 5.5" BS and a 275/35 tire. Can check out a few photos at the link below to give you an idea of the ride height...no rubbing inside or outside.
