I would tend to agree with keeping it. I know, I know, easier said then done in some cases, but adding $25K on to a house loan vs selling the car and coming back with less then it's worth, and then wanting to buy one again later.. No no no.. I really like your car and i am a 69 fan boi!!!! Just can't see a car with no paint and interior work going for much more than $25K (that's a stretch), since nice complete cars are in the mid $30's (can be had, not all are priced that way).

Find a way to keep it, really adding a few more bucks into a loan for a house is noise!! Actually to help you with your down payment, make an offer above asking price and make the sellers kick back the overage at closing, that puts your closing costs into the loan.

Keep it!!
Keep it!
Keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have it, trying to replace it would be much harder than buying a home, at a pretty good loss as well

Did I mention I whole heartedly believe you should keep it?

I can't buy the parts to finish mine like yours for what you are going to get selling it. All above yada, yada yada and its all 100% correct. If you are that hard up and no disrespect but sell the LSX and trans if you need to and keep the roller and redo again in a few years if you absolutely have to.

Not sure about real estate in your neighbourhood but $20-25K on a mortgage is like fly $h*t in pepper and won't make your life any easier currently. But, you will be one of those guys who use to have a killer car and regrets selling it.

PS

I'm about to order the exact same wheels & tires so let me know if you want some quick cash and I will buy them from you.

Sell some of these mods and see where that gets you. Do not sell the entire car. WIth a new house you are going to want somethign to work on. You will not get anything for the car itself. Only money is in the parts. Part some of the car if you have too. This way you can stop parting it once you get a certain amount of money to work towards the loan

I was curious....did you decide to keep the car or are you still interested in letting it go? I would be interested in purchasing it and live near by if you decide to sell.

This car is bad azz already. I would hate to sell it, but I agree that you could maybe score low to mid 40s. Not at all taking away from the car. Just being realistic with today's market.
