Need some help again on an issue. I've adjusted and tweaked and then re-adjusted and I just can't seem to get the level of the fender and doors to be even. The fenders stick out just a little bit past the door. I've read that applying filler to the door and then block sanding across the two is one solution, but I do not know how far towards the rear of the door I should be applying filler. Any tips on this or suggestions on other solutions greatly appreciated. The car is a 67 Firebird, original doors (one door orginal to car, the other a replacement obtained from a donor). The Fenders are reproduction OER

Pics attached to show what I'm trying to describe:

Maybe try adding some shims to the bottom of the fender. This will "stretch" the fender, straightening out the curve a little. When I disassembled my 67 Camaro I had to pry the bottom of the fender down to get the shims out.

I did not think of that! I will give it a shot and see if that helps. Thanks!!
