So after many thoughts, ridicule from others, etc. I still feel the look of the split 5 spoke black Corvette wheel would "work" and stick with format and not kill me saving for expensive wheels at first.
Looking at 18 in, and they can be had in 10.5, 9.5 and 8.5.
My first thought was too use 10.5 in back and smaller in front but keep height same.
THEN Ron Sutton gave me idea of using Crown Vic control arms, to widen the track in front to reduce scrub radius. SO I was thinking this would give me easier way to fit larger wheels.
Had though of having to use 8.5 in front, now should be able to fit 9.5.
So should I go:
18x10.5 rear 18x8.5 front
18x10.5 rear 18x9.5 front
or
18x9.5 all around and same size asymmetrical tires so as to be able to rotate them and keep parts simple.
Decisions are bugging me. Biggest issue is getting enough tire to hook up a BBC, even if its gonna be milder for autocross.
Also looking at BFG Rivals, Nitto's or Bridgestone/Firestone as I can source them pretty easy.
