Found an old article on the DSE deep tub install. Left me with two questions.

a) Does the mini require cutting and filling of the rear frame sections?
b) What are the tire/wheel limits between the two setups?

I may not understand the question but the deep tubs are the same pieces used in their minitub kit. The y allow 335/30's with leaf springs and 345's with a 3 or 4 link setup.

There's actually only one kit, people name it the same though. It will require cutting into the frame rails, you close them off with some flat stock. You can basically put as much tire in there as they make, tons of room. With the offset shackle leaf kit, the tire size (as Jody noted) is limited by interference with the leaf springs.

The kit save quite a bit of time, but still takes some effort, and of course, the job is a lot easier with the right tools. Welding while laying in the fetal position inside the trunk is a true life experience.
