Some of you may know that I picked up a full size truck and I am working on my old Dakota R/T to sell it.
While dealing with clogged fuel injectors and a few other things to get it ready to sell A/C Pro (http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/563358/00739/) approached me
and asked if I knew anyone that might want to test a new DIY air conditioning re-charge kit. The timing could
not have been any better and I threw my name in the hat. A few days later a few cans of A/C Pro Refrigerant (http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/563358/00739/)
and a trigger dispenser with a nice long hose arrived in the mail.

Over the last few years I have tried a few different DIY recharge kits with a stop leak and until now none of
them worked. I charged it up a few weeks ago, put some miles on it and it's still blowing nice and cold and the
pressure remains the same when checked it recently.

Before I charged it the best I could get was only about 5 degrees below ambient temperature.

The system is super simple to use. Just follow the directions, wear your protective gear and charge it up.
It really was as simple as screwing a can of A/C Pro Refrigerant onto the dispensing trigger/hose assembly,
adjusting the dial to match the ambient temperature, pushing the fitting onto the low pressure side connector
and squeezing the trigger. Of course you you need to shake and tip the can per the instructions but you get the idea.

In all seriousness the most difficult part of the entire process was opening the plastic package the trigger
assembly was in and keeping my hand warm while the can emptied.
Obviously this kit is not for you if you just installed a new system or component have zero pressure in your system. For that
you will need to evacuate all the air and you should seek a pro that does that for a living. For curing a small leak
and for just topping off your system the A/C Pro Refrigerant (http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/563358/00739/) system is the way to go.

After charging it the air temp dropped about 20 degrees to a nice 55F.
