Sorry for the ignorance... i have no wires and no sockets to use for reference any my EWD is horrific... but for a std tail lamp the two sockets the outer socket is 2 wire 1157 the inner singe wire 1156 for reverse lights.

the outer socket get a Brown/yellow or a brown / Green dependent on side.. this covers tail and marker...
confused about how the brake lights are coming into the picture for this?

Does it feed through the flasher or directional switch constant power when brakes applied?

SO its two wires three lamp functions?

Brown is the tail light/license plate lamp circuit which is turned on by the headlight switch. Green and yellow are the right and left turn/brake circuits which come from the directional switch. The light bulbs are grounded through the sockets to the body. The body is the third wire. The directional switch has three power inputs, the brake light switch and hazard flasher which are powered by the battery, and the turn signal flasher which turns on with the key.
