Hey guys,
i´m a new guy from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, my name is Pieter, i´m 32 years old, married and beside my job at an oilbrokerage firm, i started
my own business in importing cars, till now only in Europe, but i´m planning a trip to the USA for next year to load a container for Europe.
I´ve owned a lot of cars, 33 (just counting the vehicles i´ve used for private use), mostly BMW and Alfa Romeo, but also 2 86/87 Trans Am´s, a
77 Firebird Formula with a 455 and a Chevy Blazer in Viper trim with an Olds 403 under the hood.
Always loved driving US cars but the handeling was dramatic, aspecially in European traffic with a lot of speed bumps, braking and traffic lights,
sow in my Formula i started to use aftermarket parts to make it more Pro-touring, with bushings, brakes and more like that. But after a while, i wanted
a US car that wasn´t so common on the (European) meetings as a Fire bird so i sold it and went looking for an Oldsmobile, because i really liked the
solid 403 engine in my Blazer. I ran into an 71 Olds Cutlass with a 455, a 350 and 3.73 gears, really liked it so i bought it, stored it because of
busy times and got to it 3 months ago.
I´m planning to make it really Pro-touring with a boxed chassis, big brake kit, interior with autometer gauges, Sparco´s and a cage inside, rear suspension build up
with new and better parts and 18 inch rims. The enigine is only 300 miles old, its all brand new on the inside with new and bigger pistons, it runs with
an Edelbrock RPM intake, a 750 carb and Headers. Cam and heads are stock but will be replaced when chassis and body is finished.
Here´s a pic of the car;
