so the bearings in my 350 are heading south, and i figure when i get into the motor i might as well go ahead and redo the bottom end while i'm in there.
so, what would be the advantages of sticking with a 350 instead of going 383?

$$ :geek: ....... Depends on how much of your shortblock needs to be replaced. You will definetly need to shell out for a crank and pistons if you go with the 383. And a balancer and flywheel, unless you spend the coin for an internally balanced crank. But you know what they say....no replacement for displacement.(well OK maybe a couple of turbos)

I would go 383ci....your already there and it will have more bottom end and mid range power even if that is all you change!
