Paint LS engines

Anybody out there painting their LS engine to give a fresh look? We have a LS1 that just doesn't look fresh on the outside.

I plan on painting my engine block after the machine work is done. I plan to leave the cylinder heads aluminum though

I painted and cleared mine w reg car paint 4 yrs ago and it still looks brand new and it's easy t clean

Ignore the coils hanging off the engine... I didn't have the brackets yet. Anyway, that's what I did. I used POR15 paint which was well worth the extra time and $! I have painted engines before with spray cans and they fade/chip so quickly.

I used Eastwood's ceramic engine paint. It sprayed great and looks like Aluminum. The key to painting anything is to get it clean.
