Anyone done this in the past? Does everything fit? I've got an HEI, any issues there? I'm looking to possibly replace my 2bbl intake with a 1966 OEM Cast iron piece and a VS 650 I have laying around. If worse comes to worse and I can use this platform I figure there are plenty of OEM ~450 CFM 4bbls in the salvage yard if I need to down size.

the factory intake for pontiac engines is a lot better than many realize. Research articles written by Jim Hand, and Cliff Ruggles.

You don't hear too much being said about the square bore OEM intakes. I still have as of yet to pick it up, but was more wondering about the logistics of using a Holley on it. I figure that it's probably leagues ahead of the 2BBL considering it's in the low 200 CFM range at 1.5" like a 4bbl is rated at. I was messing around and could pull 5" vac on it free revving with no air cleaner so I excpect that a 4bbl will be a nice improvement. Supposedly going to a QJ is worth 15-20hp which is a lot on a 250hp gross engine.

I would try it. Probably need an adapter to bolt the Holley on it.
I was going to throw a Holley on my 65 just to help put it out fo the shop as the AFB acel pump dried out after it sits for a year or do. But one of the studs is not budging.
