Hey all
I just came across some used forgeline wheels for sale. 18x9 front et37 offset & rear 18x10 et35 off set. Anybody have some insight on it I can make these work on a 72 Nova. The car will have Ridetech Tru-turn and a mini tub. Any help would be great

I don't have a Nova, but having the backspacing vs et would probably be more helpful in finding a response. The fronts would be 6.45" and the rears 6.87" of backspacing. Sounds like a Corvette setup.

I have a 73 Nova. Just to get an idea on what I could get away with on the car I took my extra set of MPar 7 series wheels and tried to bolt them to the front. I have 69 Z28 steering arms on the car and the rims are a hairs breathe away from the tie rods. The tires also rub the fenders at every turn. On the rear you would have to narrow the rear end, install tubs, probably notch the frame rails and move the springs inward. How bad do you want those wheels?

Corvette offsets are +56mm and +79mm for 18x8.5 and 19x10 wheels, so they're not that, but you could make them work with some spacers/adapters. I would talk with Ridetech about your front BS requirements, but I would think that you could get away with about 5.625" to 5.875" effective backspacing and a 265 or 275 tire. As for the rear, the mini-tub should make things fairly easy since you're going to be limited in terms of tire size by the 10" wide wheel.

Thanks for all the info. I think calling Ridetech is a good idea. Its so hard to pass up Forgeline's for a third of the price.
Hope Ridetech has some good news for me. Ill post up some pics if I can make it happen
