I've been lurking/browsing on the website for a few months, doing research to familiarize myself with the car I've recently purchased.

Long story short, I bought this Le Mans for my dad. He drove one off the dealer lot in 1966 that was nearly identical, except that his was burgundy and didn't have A/C. He sold it as his family grew and work relocated him from Ohio to South Carolina, where the A/C was a necessity. Just like my dad's car, this one has a 326 V8 bolted to a Pontiac 2 speed. The plan is to have the car wrapped up in time for my parent's 50th Anniversary, which would also be this car's 50th birthday.
The plan is to modernize the car it terms of safety, reliability and creature comforts, while keeping the 60's aura with the 326 powerplant and stock style suspension. Thankfully the car has very little rust, as it's been kept indoors. There are a few minor spots on the front fenders, the rear windshield and the driver's door. Otherwise, the trunk, quarters, and floor pans are rock solid. Anyways, that's all I've got going on for the car at the moment, hopefully I'll have more updates as winter approaches.
