Hi everyone,
My name is Cody Smith and I work at Joe Mondello Racing Engines in Crossville, TN. www.mondello.com
High performance engine machinist by trade and I like anything with an engine on it.....as long as we make if faster!
I have several cars and trucks
82 Olds Cutlass - my first car and currently stripped for complete frame off and rebuild
67 Olds 442 - project on the back burner for now
04 F-250 - daily driver and tow rig
73 F-100 + 90 F-350 = pull truck project

Here is my 82 a few years ago and one of the nicer pics I have

The car is currently stripped down to the bare body other than the dash still has to come out.
I've joined this forum because of the good info and threads of what had worked for the rest of you in making these old cars handle better than a new one.
Things on the Table for this project
box frame
frame notch/mini tub
hydro boost
better disc brakes
tubular control arms
coil overs
roll cage
fix body problem areas
fiberglass front and rear bumpers
K member
repaint car
different wheels
and lots of other little things

Power plant is going to be the 463 cu in small block olds i'm building.

My motivation is for sort of an old stock car tribute with modern parts and style.
