I'm working on a 1980 Trans am mini tubbed and I ordered 18x12 billet snowflakes from year one and a number of dealers I've spoken to on the phone told me I need a rear with a WMS to WMS of 56 1/4 is it safe enough to order the rear housing that width while I wait for the wheels to come in its going to take 8 weeks I'd like to bolt up all my brakes while I'm on vacation this month. I'm going to set up a hydro post unit with wildwood master and c6 ZO6 brakes all the way around, stainless lines so should I be patient and wait or just pull the trigger and order that sucker already? Thanks. Jr

My experience has usually been that it's better to wait and take actual measurements for fitment on your car, not take other's words for it when the fitments are especially tight or close...and don't forget to include the rotor hat thickness of .28" X2 in your WMS-WMS measurement.
