Hello guys!
Been hanging around here for a while, and now i finally got some spare time over to show you guys what i've been working on lately.
This is a long term project that's finally coming to an end. Been working on this car for about 3-4 years (i dont have any track of time, but it has taken a LOT of time).
So its nice to see that its finally coming together.
A little background story!
The 1967 Fastback in the movie Gone in sixty seconds was my all time favourite movie car. And since my father owns his own shop that mainly focuses on Mustangs, we decided to build one.
We bought a Fastback 67 here in Sweden, and we started to do some work on it. The car was in really bad shape, and it was missing almost everything.
The first thought was to use TCI suspensions parts, and keep the original interior and such.
But we changed our minds, and started to look for a modern car to salvage for parts. We took a lot of measurements on Ford cars, and the SN95 1994-1995 was the best match for this. It's actually spot on from the firewall to the rear end, and its only about 6cm smaller between the doors.
So with this in mind, we went to look for an SN95. Ended up with a 1995 GT convertible in pretty rough condition. The car had been sitting outside for the last 3 years and it looked terrible, so we got it for a good deal!
When we got the car home, the work started for real.
We decided to keep everything that makes a modern car "modern", so what we have now is an 1967 Fastback with ABS, cruise control, EFI engine, electrical window winders, central locks and so on.
It's been a lot of work to get everything to work with the old cars body, but as if today, the car is 95% done. Its just the final assembly left, tune of the engine and some small things and then im off to hit the roads!
I got a lot of pictures, and i dont have them in the right order. But i tried to sort them out a little, and im taking new ones as soon as i've done some work on the car.
