If I lower the back 5in do I need to do a c notch on a 72c10

I ran a 3.5/5 on my 68 for a long time and never had a problem with bottoming out. I would assume yours would be the same.

I'm running CPP 5" drop springs on the back of my truck. It bottomed out a little on hard bumps, but i cut the bump stops down about a half inch and it was good to go

You can get Jeep wrangler 87-95 bumpstops for the rear, you can shave them to suite you ride preference and susp travel needs. They are one bolt install to boot. I just read your build thread, looks like its going to be a cool truck when finished.

You'll be wanting to go 6" in the rear in the future. Trust me. I'm shopping for 6" springs now. I'm considering the Hotchkis springs.
