Hey guys, first let me say I know this is "ANOTHER" 69 Camaro project, but hey we all have our crutches and this is mine... I have spent a lot of time on this site and some of you guys have some amazing builds, a level of quality that I can only hope to come close to!

Have already been working on the car awhile, but I am at a point that I thought it would be a good idea to start a build thread, so you guys can straighten me out if I am screwing the pooch on something. I have all the metal work done and the car is going to P&B on Monday so I won't bore you with all the metal work details, but will post a few progress shots.

The car will definitely not be a trailer queen and will see a lot of street time for sure. Not sure how much track time I will get with it (will save that for the coupe) but I do plan on doing the power tour next year if at all possible (that reads, I hope I am done by then!). A lot of the ideas for the car are "borrowed" from other builds that I really liked, so it has a lot of little things from a lot of different cars.

Here is my short list:

Custom rear wing
Custom front spoiler
Custom brake vents
Flush mount door handles
Door lock delete
Full Stage 2 Air Ride Suspension with Trueturn, etc.
4 Link in the rear
Narrowed Moser 12" w/3.73
Wilwood all around.
Bonspeed GT-b's
LQ9 Iron Block 408, with TT Setup (Shooting for manageable 700)
T56 Magnum
Custom or Marquez dash setup
Dakota Digital VHX-1200
and a partridge in a pear tree!!!

Obviously tons of details I am omitting, but I don't want to bore the crap out of you guys. Will touch on those as I progress. Color is picked, wheels are picked, suspension is picked, so I just gotta start getting it together.. lol

I know these threads suck without pictures, so lets start with this one.. Shawn did a KILLER job and I am very happy with the outcome..

Had to temp up some airlines for the suspension to get it high enough to get on the trailer to take to the body shop on Monday. She is REALLY low on the stops...

Good work, great ideas. I had 3 1st gen f bodys so far , they are something special.
Just try to not go nuts on the interior .. theres a lot of tack stuff going on now and with the top down its got to look like its on the outside.
I like the sidevents. I cant wait to see how it turns out.

Been AWHILE since any update on the project, but had to finish two others before getting back to the Camaro and I am finally getting back to it. Hopefully I can make some more pronounced progress from here froward.

Sheet Metal work - 98% done
Bumpers and air damn is all that is left.
Suspension installed, will work on tanks and controller after the Second Skin is on.
Doing dry run assemble this week of all the door handles, actuators, seats, etc this week to make sure I get all the needed mount modifications done.
Ordering my Second Skin this week.
Will get the first phase of that down next week then work on the fuel plumbing, brake plumbing and electrical in the next couple of weeks.

Need some feedback on the door handle hookup to latch. I have looked high and low and can't seem to find any other examples of how people are hooking these things up! Maybe my searching skills just suck, I don't know. Anyway, I looked at few options including the Lokar universal cable/pulley setup and cam up with just using a simple cable/shielding setup. Stealing ideas from motorcycles now.. lol

Anyway, any feedback or other suggestions would be welcome, just want to make sure I am not missing something simple.

Here is what I did.. Old cable and adjuster just for mock up.

Hey I just looked at a car (buying) with the same handle set up. Camarodaves built the car in Colorado. I spoke with him last week. Real nice guy, I'll bet if you give him a call he'll direct you.

As I mentioned, I had difficulty finding any info on hooking up the Kindigit handles so I thought I would post what I ended up doing just in case someone else needs an idea down the road.

Kindig It Handle install.

This is what I ended up doing. Very simple slip cable setup. Much better then my original approach.

Finished both doors and got the mounts fabbed up for the new seats. They fit very well, all motors are tested and working good.
