Last time I checked, back in June they hadn't released it to public yet. They were in process of getting testing equipment installed that will be used to test each valve body to make sure it works as advertised before shipping.

I'm looking strongly at being a Genie pig. It would be used with 4L80E 6 speed close ratio gearing configuration in conjunction with paddle shifter.

Paddles work good per guy riding in passinger seat...LOL. Now I want engine braking on downshifts. My car but I wasn't driving it.

PTCS is a sponcer so if they see thread they may give us and update. I'm looking strongly at being a Geniea pig.

My interest is more for the engine braking than anything else. Like you, I'd be willing to help them test if needed.

Did I miss the gearset in their website? If not, where do you get that?

This one has my eye too. I have a core 4l80e in the garage I am going to have to rebuild anyway and I like my 6L in my G8. 1800 rpms on the highway is common.

You missed it. Down on right hand side of page. List gear ratios for 5 & 6 speed using stock 4L80 gears and Gear ratios of 6 speed gear set they sell that gives you better gearing spread than you get using stock gears with PCS valve body.

Powertrain Control Solutions - 6-Speed 4L80E Valve Body (http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/product/6-Speed-Valve-Body/)

I believe below are the gear ratios, including stock 4L80E gear set and gear ratios that valve body will produce with either stock gears are PCS's gear set.

2.48, 1.48, 1.00, 0.75, 2.07 Stock 4 sp

2.48, 1.86, 1.48, 1.00, 0.75, 2.07 Stock gear ratios 5sp with valve body

2.98, 1.57, 1.00, 0.75, 2.46 PCS Gear set 4sp stock 4L80E valve body

2.98, 2.24, 1.57, 1.00, 0.75, 2.46 PCS Gear Set 5 sp with valve body set up

2.98, 2.24, 1.57, 1.18, 1.00, 0.75, 2.46 PCS Gear Set 6sp with valve body set up. Note: Gear set = close ratio gearing with Engine RPM drops of only 1500 RPM +/- 100 RPM between shifts.

A 3.55 gear set want get you in 1600-1800 RPM crusing range at 70 MPH, but in 2125 to 2150 RPM range depending on tire size. But having a 4.19 rear gear ratio in 4th gear even with only 360 RWHP can be fun on street or strip. Stall of around 2800 RPM may hurt 60' times, but no need for high stall with so little lost of RPM between shifts.

Give you and idea of what each gear's ratio is with 3.55, comparied to C6 Z06 Corvette 6 sp manual with 3.55 rear gear ratio.

1st = 2.97
2nd = 2.23
3rd = 1.57
4th = 1.18
5th = 1.00
6th = 0.75

1st = 2.97 X 3.55 = 10.54
2nd = 2.23 X 3.55 = 7.92
3rd = 1.57 X 3.55 = 5.57
4th = 1.18 X 3.55 = 4.19
5th = 1.00 X 3.55 = 3.55
6th = 0.75 X 3.55 = 2.66

For comparison, C6 Z06 corvette 6sp manual transmissions

1st = 2.97 X 3.55 = 10.54
2nd = 2.07 X 3.55 = 7.35
3rd = 1.43 X 3.55 = 5.25
4th = 1.00 X 3.55 = 3.55
5th = 0.71 X 3.55 = 2.52
6th = 0.57 X 3.55 = 2.02

TCI 6X 6 sp with same trans gear ratio's as PCS gear set, 3.55 rear end and 360 RWHP.

This one paddle shifting 1st-4th, 2800 RPM stall (maybe less). Can you hear the RPM lost between shifts?

wow, I have a 6.0L / 4L80E going into my '69 442. My daily driver is an Infinity G37 with the 7 speed auto and thought that would be awesome in the 442. I'm interested for sure
